MISSION UPDATE: March 2019
Salute to Women: Looking ahead
Thank you to everyone who came out last night for the 45th Annual Salute to Women! We gathered at The Trails Banquet Facility to honor and celebrate seven extraordinary women who are changing our community for the better: Vanessa Pacheco (Woman of Innovation); Cathy Benner, Sana Booker, Tamara House, Sarah Johnson and Cynthia Koh-Knox Sharp (Women of Distinction); and Grayce Lechtenberg (Mary Keller Ade, MD Woman of Wisdom).
We were inspired by their stories, their courage, and their work -- so much so, we want more. Already looking forward to the 2020 Salute to Women, we are doing something different this year. As of right now, nominations for the 2020 Salute to Women are officially open!
Instead of waiting for December, we encourage our entire community to think about female leaders all year long. Start your nominations. Keep your mind open, and let us know any time you are inspired by the work or dedication of a woman in our community. Nominations will be accepted all year, with a deadline of 11:59 pm on December 31, 2019. Download the nomination form at www.ywcalafayette.org.
